Swirling Hearts

This quilt was made from a class. It is 100% cotton. I used Batik fabrics and Warm and Natural Batting. The challenge was working with each of the swirls in the hearts and stitching them down. Appliqué isn’t my favorite method of quilting! This quilt has never been washed and has been used to cover my girlfriend when we travel - she is cold all the time!

Kitty Backs

This quilt was made in a class. This quilt has reverse applique - meaning the patchwork was put underneath the cutout of the kitties and then stitched down. This was a very interesting and fun class. The quilt is 100% cotton with Warm and Natural batting. This quilt was made in a kitty friendly home. This quilt has never been washed and has been over the back of the sofa.

Oh No! Dots

This quilt was made in a class. The objective was to make a scrap block. I used coordinated fabric to create the blocks, then we stitched our blocks together with the seam out so that we could then “rag” the quilt (wash and dry to make the rag blossom). This quilt was made in a kitty friendly home. This quilt has been washed to make it blossom only once.

This quilt was made in a class. It was really quick to put together since you could chain the blocks as you sewed. Once I found the border fabric, I then had to add a few blocks of a sage color to tie it all together. This quilt was made in a kitty friendly home and has never been washed.
